I park outside this house sometimes when I am at work in Paddington. A brave move to paint the house black, but I just love it. Nice and simple renovation, not too busy, always the best way to go. I met the owner recently and he told me that cactus seeds for the stunning cactus plant were sent over from Venezuela 60 years ago to the woman who then owned the house. It is called "Lady of the Night Cactus" or if you prefer "
Cereus Hexagonus". It flowers around Christmas time for about a week and only between the hours of 10 pm and 3am. Amazing don't you think!
